Collaborative unit, In Common that was founded in 2017 under the leadership of Walter Smith III and Mathew Stevens, continues its tradition of bringing together great names in their third album, just like their previous ones. In this third edition In Common 3, improviser, pianist and composer Kris Davis, who has accomplished successful works with Pyroclastic Records, takes the piano duty, also two trailblazer giants Dave Holland and Terri Lyne Carrington has been invited to join the crew.

Walter Smith III ve Mathew Stevens öncülüğünde 2017’de kurulan müzik kolektifi In Common, üçüncü albümlerinde de önceki albümlerde olduğu gibi muhteşem isimleri bir araya getirme geleneğini sürdürdü. Smith ve Stevens kendileriyle benzer müzikal zeminde yürüyebildikleri misafir sanatçıları In Common projesine davet ediyorlar. In Common 3’de Pyroclastic Records ile birlikte başarılı işlere imza atan doğaçlamacı, piyanist ve besteci Kris Davis piyonada yer alırken, bununla beraber yeri yerinden oynatan iki dev isim Dave Holland ve Terri Lyne Carrington çeteye dahil oluyorlar.
